It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stefanie had her ultrasound last Tuesday the 8th (Happy Birthday Sharen!) and we have learned that we have another grand-daughter coming --due the first week of December! Although we would have been thrilled with another boy, it is nice to have another little girl coming into the family. Please check out Stef's blog to see the ultrasound pictures.
Our sweet little Caitlin will be 8 on August 1st - Time sure has flown since that precious little bundle came into our family as first grandchild and first grand-daughter.
Caleb will be almost 5 (on December 26th) when the new baby comes.
Ethan will be 3 in January (the 18th)....
...so the conclusion is:
Yes, it is time for another girl...and we, like Stef and Danny, are just thrilled.
Hopefully this little girl will be our princess girly-girl. Stefanie was a tomboy--she loved trees, bugs, animals, and getting dirty. Our sweet Caitlin looks like the precious princess, but her love of pirates instead of barbies or baby dolls makes her a little more like her Auntie Stefanie. We are all kind of hoping that this will be the girl that loves pink, babies, dressing up, and all that other girly stuff....if not, she'll be treated just like Stef and Caitlin--wearing pink and bows whether she likes it or not! :-)
Stefanie and Danny are debating over the names Emily and Amber....
Just some thoughts: Stefanie's middle name is Margarete after her grandmother (my mom), and Emilie is my mother's middle name (Hmmm?!). Personally for this reason, I like Emily, but whatever they choose is just fine!
And some silliness: Right now Dave is calling the little girly "Penewpy" (not sure how to spell it, but phonetically it is "pen-new-p")---why, do you ask?! Well, when Stefanie was a little girl she got a Cabbage Patch doll that came with the name "Penelope". Since she couldn't pronounce Penelope, she called her "Penewpy". It has been a silly nickname that has stuck from that time between the two of them. I have a feeling this name might just stick around!
Well, a lightning and thunderstorm is beginning to set in --so it is time to get off of the computer!
Happy Saturday to all!!

Congrats on the new little girl to join your wonderful family. That is so exciting. I am going to go to Stef's blog right now to see the ultrasound pictures. I LOVE BABIES!!!
Have a good week, talk to you soon. I'm having the sit, chat and finish that class at the church tonight if you would like to come. Tuesday Jul 15 at 6:30 in case you don't get this soon. Hope to see you there.
Love,
Amy
Congratulations! I am rooting for a girlie-girl, too. None of mine are true girly-girls, but Abby comes the closest. How fun for you it will be to have a granddaughter near-by!
