Family Time at the Pseudo-Pumpkin Patch!

Stefanie and I have been so homesick lately for the fun festivities of autumn we've had in the past in the great Pacific Northwest. It has been especially hard seeing all the fun pictures of trips to the Pumpkin Patch that friends have been blogging. So, Stef decided to find a pumpkin patch near us! Well, it actually meant about a 1-1/2 to 2 hr drive for us to find an "actual" pumpkin patch, so we opted for a pseudo-pumpkin patch about 30 minutes away in Camilla (tornado alley in this neck of the woods). It is actually a strawberry farm that was dressed for autumn and Halloween. They had a waist-high corn maze you could get "lost" in (oh boy!) and offered fun photography opportunities with an old tractor, some bales of hay, and pumpkins (for purchase--along with a lot of other yummy veggies and goodies), and a giant pumpkin bouncer for the kids. Ethan had a grand time jumping in the bouncer! Dave celebrated in the festivities with boiled peanuts and managed to escape being in any pictures. Next year I think we'll try and find a real pumpkin patch! It was fun, but not quite the same!

Approaching our Pseudo-Pumpkin Patch---the anticipation is HIGH! Wow! Pumpkins everywhere!

Scary scarecrows! Danny and Ethan checking out Sally the cow. You can "milk" Sally! Udderly riddiculous! (sorry)
A nice Mainprize family photo - like Stef's dark locks? The corn maze is behind!

Fun Time!

Stefanie hanging out in the sunflower field. Can you see her???
Hint: She's somewhere in the middle.
Now to find the perfect pumpkin...and the hunt is on...
Hmmm...decisions, decisions. There is some pretty fun stuff here!
Score! One perfect pumpkin...(she actually found two!)
And, the grand finale...lunch at Dairy Queen...
Does life get any better than this??????????

And no, I didn't forget a puppy picture...they're getting fuzzy again!
