Here We Go...Again!

Good Evening Everyone!

The rains have come with great vengeance and our "swamp house" is at extremely high risk. We have been out to the house to hike everything that is in there up----supplies, tools, and odds and ends. We have evacuated our tent trailer and tried to get some of the heavier equipment (rototiller, pressure washer, etc) out of harm's way. I truly believe our efforts have been futile. Sadly, all the former indicators of a serious flood to our neighborhood have returned. The ditches are overflowing and the water is up about half-way in our yard, and the rains continue to come down---it's as if someone is pouring buckets of water down on us. Many roads are closed and water is flowing over them, and the schools are closed for tomorrow in two counties. The lightning and thunder are constant.

The new sinkhole in the subdivision (about a block and a half from our home) is growing and about a third filled with water.

We are heartbroken....as this is dredging up some very raw and tender memories and emotions.

I honestly don't know what to pray for---perhaps total destruction would be best. But, I have neighbors who are still there, although many have and are in the process of evacuating.

Please keep us in our prayers. I don't believe we will have much of a home tomorrow. But, we are blessed to have the safety and security of our rental home.
