The drought here in Georgia has been hard on our pond. When we first moved here, it was full of water and equally full of big fat fish. With the drought the large catfish all died as the pond evaporated. But, we have had a couple of good rainstorms over the past week that have helped to refill it. Here are a few pictures of BEFORE and AFTER.

Note the pipe is now under water.
The water is now out beyond where Dave was standing up above.
Notice the dock is back under water again.
Dave pulled the pedal boat out from under the dock.
Although the water is still very shallow here--this is where Dave was standing...
Riley checking out the water's edge just below the dock
Ginger peeking out at the boat.
Dave contemplating the dirty boat that needed to be scrubbed.

Boat Creatures: These are all inhabitants of the boat that needed to be guided to finding a new home. Notice all the bugs on this guy's back! Yech!

So, glad to see that you've had some rain. You can sure take some of ours. I'm sick of the stuff!!! Caitlin loved seeing your pond creaturs. :)
ya full pond, now we need to get some fish in there and take our little boater man out on the boat!
I love the boat!! How fun! Someday soon I will be able to paddle myself around your little pond! Keep the water coming so it will be nice and full for me;)and the creatures on the lizard thing...sick!! the frogs and lizards are cool, but the spidery looking things make my skin crawl!
