It's been a fun past week. Dave decided to build a fire pit outside in our backyard. We had to try it out. We roasted hot dogs and built s'mores--yum!! Ethan really enjoyed helping Papa with the "hot". He even broke sticks with his knee just like Papa. It was a fun evening. And, yes, it was finally cold enough here in Georgia to sit around a fire!
On Friday the 18th, Ethan turned 2! On Saturday, all of the family met at Stef and Danny's for the big party. Stef spent all morning making the cake. It turned out really cute! You could say we had a trainload of cake!

a bonfire? i am jealous! it has snowed for two days staight...it is past my shin!! grrrr....i love the snow, but the bitter chill that comes with it is getting old!! looks like fun!! that train is darling!! way to go martha!
We LOVE having campfires out back. That's the best. It's been a little cold out here lately though...17 degrees last night. Brrrr! Stef did a great job on the cake. I love it! I can't believe that baby is 2 though. Man does time fly!
Happy birthday Ethan! Looks like a fun time had by all. I can imagine Dave's contribution with the silly string. I think it was invented just for him!
