A Puppy Update (Of Course!)

Since the puppies always get the attention on this blog, I thought I'd let Ginger and Pepper have the spotlight and post their pictures first! They may be adult dogs, but they'll always be our puppies too!

Ginger has begun to play with the pups. They love to chase her around the yard, and then she turns around and chases them. It's hilarious to watch! Coco and Ginger are very fast and agile. Riley is a bit more clumsy, and not near as quick, but he never misses out on the action! Ginger will be 8 yrs old on October 4th.
Pepper tolerates the puppies. They love to jump at her and nibble on her ears. She's very patient. Actually, she ignores them. If they get too wild, she just growls a bit, and they back down. She's 13 years old, and although she is still very active, she's definitely showing her age. More and more Riley is beginning to remind me of her when she was just a pup.
The puppies have had a busy week. On Tuesday, they went to the vet for their 3rd set of shots. They are now 13 weeks old, and Riley weighed in at a whopping 7.7 pounds! He's gained almost 2 lbs in the past 3 weeks! Coco weighed in at 4.6 lbs, up from 3.3 pounds! Coco now weighs what Riley weighed when we first brought them home at 8 weeks old. Our babies are growing!

At the Vet: Waiting for the vet to come in. If looks could kill...
Riley and Coco went to Stefanie & Danny's house to meet Vega and Buddy. Ethan had a ball getting in the dog carrier and playing with Coco.

Riley was being his wild self, so Danny decided to play with him. Riley loved the attention! Buddy wanted to be a part of the fun.
Ethan loved having all four dogs around! What a cutie-patootie!
Stefanie has always been my animal lover--she, too, was in her element! Riley and Vega having fun!
All four dogs...
Lastly, Stefanie and I tried to trim the puppies this morning. What a fiasco! They are afraid of the clippers and they cried as if we were killing them. We managed to trim Coco's feet and nose, but Riley would only allow (and that's a stretch) us to do his feet.
