Over the past several weeks, I have had an incredible urge to work on my family's genealogy. In fact, Stefanie has also mentioned that she has felt the same promptings. Anyway, as I was perusing Findagrave.com (yes, it's a real website), I found a picture of my Grandmother and Great-Grandmother's graves in a cemetary in Lovelock, Nevada (I had already known they were buried there). Along with the picture, was an email to someone named "Tim". I felt like I needed to contact him so I emailed him. Come to find out we share the same Great-grandfather! I'm from the first marriage, and Tim is from the second marriage. How exciting--I found "kin". We have emailed A LOT over the past couple of weeks and I have learned things that I never even had a clue of! Hmmm....nothing like finding family skeletons within the first couple of generations of the good ol' family tree. Anywho, as Tim has shared a lot of family history regarding our great-grandfather, I have developed a strong desire to know more about my great-grandmother Lydia who seems to be "lost" from everything....so the digging commences!
And, here are a couple of old pictures I found in my belongings. I have very few pictures of my childhood.....

Hey "sweet sis"......
Talk about a blast from the past!
HEY....
THAT is my best buddy sitting there by that Christmas tree!
You still look just like that in my memory.
(never mind what ANY of us look like now....)
Seeing your parents kind of made my heart jump a bit.
I will focus on my friend and "sister"
Miss those "good old days" just a bit.....
Love ya Kiddo!
:-)
So neat to see old pictures. I don't think I've ever seen pictures of your parents. Hope you keep finding out more. Love you!
