Snow In Southern Georgia ~ February 12, 2010

I know, I know, the picture is lousy, but other than some blurry ones--this is all we got. We've had a rather unusual winter. Lots of cold weather and wetter than most years. Well, one night we actually got real live, wet, SNOW! It snowed HUGE wet flakes that melted almost instantly, but it was SNOW--something quite uncommon for the area! It has been YEARS! The snow did collect in several areas, but not around us. Remember, we only live about 8 miles from the Florida border, so we probably were still warmer than the other areas. When Stefanie, Danny, and the kids got home from our house, they were surprised to have some snow sticking. Sure wish we had, but the few minutes of large fluffy flakes was quite fun and we didn't have to shovel it! :)

That's pretty crazy. I was pleased that we didn't have the "horrible" winter that was in our forecast. Hopefully it's not still in store. You never know around here. Hopefully all the craziness will get out of the sytem, before your visit. My poor plants don't know what to think. They're all almost blooming or allready blooming and we got snow and ice last night. Hopefully covering them saved them from any damage. I'm ready for summer!
