I'm not sure everyone knows, but over the Christmas holidays of 2009 I found a great work opportunity at the state hospital here in town near our home. Sadly, that meant resigning at the hospital that I had been working at for almost two years and giving up my 2 hour commute each day. Reducing the two hour commute down to 22 minutes would be terrific, but saying "so long for now" to my friends and colleagues at SGMC was tough. I will and do miss seeing these great women everyday!
We met at a local tavern in town near the hospital where the HUGE appetizers were $5 each! The food was yummy, my coke was superb, and the company was fabulous!
Thanks to my dear friend Leslie who organized this party and to all who came. You guys are awesome! They gave me a beautiful Pandora charm bracelet complete with three charms: a heart (awww...I love you guys too!), a medical symbol, and a blue glass bead in the same hue as the scrubs we all have/had to wear at SGMC in the gaggy ceil blue that I absolutely detest. I love blue, but ceil blue takes on a grayish color and that's what I don't like. I had a ton of scrubs in all kinds of colors, but when I went to work at SGMC I had to buy them...ugh...ceil blue! :P. But hooray, I no longer have to wear them. They bought the blue bead to remind me of the lovely scrubs. Love you guys! And, here are my friends:
