Catch-Up Part VI: Church 1st Annual Christmas Creche

December brought our church's first annual community creche. We brought in nativities of all kinds to share with anyone who wanted to see them. Over 172 nativities were on display, including a live nativity with some of the Primary kids. They did a really good job. When on display the room was lit with Christmas lights, and live music played. It was really nice and many from the community came out to see. Here are a few pictures (of course, this didn't as look as pretty with all the lights on):

Some of you may even recognize our "lawn trash" nativity that was brought in too!
There were all kinds of nativities and there were no duplicates!
I personally brought in 11 nativities to share. This is the one I purchased in Bethlehem when we were in Israel this past September. It is handcarved and made of olive wood. Click on this picture and it may enlarge it for you so you can see some of the detail. We laugh because one of the wisemen actually looks more like E.T. :-)
It was a nice way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!
