It's hard to believe, but we lived in this little house for just over a year! Amazing--the time went by so quickly. During the time we lived there, I never bothered to take any pictures. So, I decided to take a few during our move back to the swamp house. This little house, despite it's quirks, was really a blessing. Our friends Mark and Crystal offered us the opportunity to be their first renters at a time we were desperate to find a home that would allow our four dogs. What an incredible blessing! Thanks Mark and Crystal!
The best part of renting it--our wonderful neighbors! Mark and Crystal live only two doors down (now remember, all these houses have a bit of acreage, so two doors down is probably a quarter of a mile!) And, next door we had Crystal's mom and dad, Bob and June. June brought us the most delicious goodies--our favorite was her 5-lb to-die-for pound cake! Yum!
The front of the house--we never used this to enter. We kept some of our rescued furniture on the screened-in front porch

Another angle of the front--just to the left of the porch door

Another angle of the front - to the right of the front

The back side of the house. This was the door we used to enter and exit. The fenced in yard is about the size of a postage stamp. It was tough on our four dogs who were used to having 4 acres of fenced-in yard to roam in.

The kitchen

This is probably the dining room, but we used it as our den.

The living room

One bedroom that we used entirely for storage

The hall where two floors meet. This was the the hall where we held foot races with the cockroaches :-)

A tiny bedroom that we converted to a laundry room and pantry

Another bedroom we used for storage

The itty bitty bathroom - only one person could be in there at a time (their shower curtain)
Yes, this was home during a very trying time in our lives. It was a fun place and we have wonderful memories. Despite, the roaches, the leaking roof, the noisy A/C, the squirrels in the eaves, and other odds and ends, we are really grateful that this was available when we needed it!It was truly a blessing!
