Bottom line: Our son has artistic talent. He reminds me SOOOOO much of my own dad (he could draw ANYTHING!). This was my Christmas gift from Ryan and Jill (plus some fun family pictures and a cool picture ornament). If you look closely, you'll realize that it is our family!
Quite frankly, the picture does no justice to this masterpiece- there are a lot of intricate details!
Don't you just love the poodles and chickens? I especially love Caitlin's tongue at Caleb!
This was a masterpiece that Ryan created a few years back for Jill's Mom Cheri and Step-dad Dennis. If you go to "Nana and Papas" blog (at right), you'll see an actual photo of their former house. This picture also depicts their family and all their pets!
Sadly, the flood took almost all of Ryan (and Stefanie's) pictures that we had. That was definitely the hardest loss.
But, I have my wonderful family portrait which will be treasured forever!

What's even more fun is that this talent has funneled down to our grand-daughter Caitlin too! She is also an amazing artist. Check out Jill's post from awhile back:

They both amaze me! I wish your dad was around to see the legacy he has left. I know I think it's pretty neat and it's not even my talent being passed on. So sad!
I wish some of thier talent would rub off on me! My stick figures look pathetic!
