Yesterday was a difficult day for the family....especially Dave's mom....
Dave's mom (whose birthday it was yesterday too--Happy Birthday Mom!) was unable to arouse Dave's dad in the morning. Although he was still breathing, he was not conscious. She called the paramedics and they took Dad to the community hospital in Aberdeen, WA near their home. He was there only a short time and then was life-flighted to Harborview Hospital in Seattle for further care and testing. Unfortunately, due to the snow that Seattle has been blasted with, Mom was not able to go to Seattle with him. As of last evening, he was still not arousable. The doctors believe that the toxins from his sick liver have built up in his blood stream and are causing the problems. They are also questioning if he may have had a stroke. We still don't have a "for sure" diagnosis and continue to wait for further word.
Please help us pray...for both Dad and Mom...as they try to get through this next challenge. Sadly, over the past few months, Dad's health has been progressively declining and he was removed from the liver transplant list. They have been managing his symptoms with medication.
And....
If you go to Jill's Blog (http://ryanandjillbrownefamily.blogspot.com/) you can read the details---but in short, they, like many during this economic downturn, are facing some unknowns in their lives. They moved to Denver in July to help the company that Ryan's been working for for the past 8 years open a restaurant, and now the owner wants to retire and sell-off all the restaurants. Ryan has a job for now, but the future is unknown.
It seems 2008 has been a year of challenges for all the Brownes! Let's pray that 2009 will bring more peace into all of our lives.
Thanks for all your help in praying for both families.
Merry Christmas to All!!!
Thanks so much!!!

This gave me goosebumps and of course tears(not that that's hard to do lately.) We will keep them in our prayers. What a way to spend the holidays. Please keep us updated. Send them our love.
I will definitely keep you and your family in my daily prayers. Let me know if there is anything that I can do, please. Amy
