We had a lovely Thanksgiving. The weather was beautiful and we were joined by Stefanie, Danny, Ethan, and friends from church Amy and Derren. Darren has been helping us through the whole ordeal of the flood and Amy has been the generous soul who allowed us to haul all of our belongings to her large garage. This year has been filled with trials for all of us and it was wonderful to share in thanksgiving and friendship. I've already told Amy that she has become my third daughter---I guess that would make her 3 boys also my adopted grandsons! :-) Derren has three precious girls that all adore their daddy. Two of his girls joined us later in the evening.
We are so blessed! Here are a few pictures
This turkey was salvaged from the debris pile. I made him back in 1997 and he's been a favorite. Although the wood has been damaged and stained with mold, he cleaned up fairly well, and I re-glued his beak and waddle. His base is our Halloween pumpkin (uncarved)

After we filled ourselves with wonderful food, we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful day.

Amy and Stefanie soon discovered a bounty of pecans from a huge tree in our yard (of our rental house that is)

When she wasn't picking up pecans, she was taking pictures!

Derren looking serious and Dave enjoying the day

Ethan loved Amy's football! The guys all threw it around for quite awhile

We then decided to take a walk up our unpaved street. We brought 3 of the four dogs and we walked almost a mile each way! The trees were beautiful!

Don't you love the shadows? Amy's is on the left and mine is on the right. We took pictures while we dragged behind the group.

We are truly blessed. We have each other, our children and grandchildren, our dog-kids, family, and treasured friends. Despite the bumps in the road, particularly this year, we have what is truly important!
Thanks to all of you for being a part of our blessed lives!
Hope all of you had a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving!
