Another busy day. Dave haded back to work--tomorrow I will be back at work myself.
I went out to the house solo and walked around to recall all of our "stuff" for the inventory. It really helped. It was a bit eerie. The smell is awful and the mold is starting to appear at the water line, but the two huge fans and one smaller fan seem to be getting it all dried out ---or more like drier ---it'll take a while to get the house truly dry. Dave bought a de-humidifier so that should help. The health department was out checking wells. We have not yet started the cleansing process, so they will come back later for us.
Today Stef and I sorted out the clothes and went through all the stuff in Amy's garage. Some stuff that was literally floating around but was still retrieved was put in the trash (yes, it is all documented for the insurance). I'm feeling a little less spread out. It's nice to feel some sense of order. We've also done a bit of organizing in the bedroom that we're using at Stef and Danny's.
I had a long talk with our insurance adjuster today. The building part of the claim is being pushed through so we'll get some funds for the renovation. It will not be all said and done for 6 months. We have a bit more time on the inventory list--thank goodness. I feel better about all that too. The barn still has water in it, so we will get it inventoried probably this weekend.
Tomorrow, Dave is meeting with a professional team that specializes in water and fire damage clean-up. They have come highly recommended, so we are hopeful that they will be able to help us.
Well, it's late, so I need to head to bed. Good night!

We're still here checking your blog daily and still praying for you to have the strength you need to get through it all. (And we hope you're not offended if we put your names in the temple.) It sounds like you're doing great!
Hugs to you--
Gary and Marilyn
