A New Car...actually, a new USED car to add to our fleet!

Last week we got a new USED car! With both of us driving older cars (Dave drives a 1992 Acura Vigor, and I have been driving a 1989 Acura Legend) more than a 120 miles per day in each car, we thought it was time to look for something a little more reliable (Linda commutes on a rural highway). We still have the Tahoe, but with gas prices in the $3.32/gallon (regular) range, it spends more time at home (it only gets about 16-17 mpg).

This 2003 Acura 3.2 TL is Linda's dream car--she's loved this body style since it first came out. Dave calls it the "Grandma car" as he prefers the later TL body style (2004 - present). Well, when Linda found this baby we just had to jump. This car has only 21K original miles and is near perfect! But, the best part...we paid less than low blue book for it...and about 1/2 of it's original price when it was new (we have the original window sticker to prove it!). It's gorgeous! Linda will be driving it and when the Vigor starts showing signs of slowing (it currently has about 160K and is still going strong) he'll probably hunt down his dream car. This car was housed in a summer house on Long Island for most of its life...that's why the miles are so low. It is black with a tan leather interior and still has that new car smell. We love it!!! We couldn't even buy a used Honda Accord for what we paid for this!

Even though he calls it the "grandma car" (which it is what it is since that is what Linda is)---Dave still has been caught telling folks that he thinks it's rather nice!
Linda is trying to wean herself of this baby...it's not bad looking for a 19 year old car....actually, it's still in beautiful shape...

...and yes, this was Stefanie's car--we bought it from her a couple of years ago when she acquired her Explorer from her mother-in-law, Barb---you need to check out Stef's blog...she too, has some new wheels now that Barb has purchased herself her dream car!! I guess you could say that acquiring new wheels over the past week has been keeping the Brownes and Mainprizes busy!

That is a really pretty car. It will be hard to get used to seeing you drive it, since we are used to seeing you in your other car giving out the eggs at the end of church. And thank you thank you for the eggs, the boys get so excited when we get eggs from you guys. Hope all is well, and maybe we'll see you at the church tomorrow, for one of the sessions of conference.
I don't know if I have a dream car or not. Well, maybe the Honda Goldwing trike that I would to have. Bet you can't see me on one of them. That is what I want someday, or a '69 mustang love that car. ;)
Love, Amy and the boys
