Another exciting entry from the Brownes:
Well, last Saturday we decided to work in our yard. Since we have so many trees we have to pick up branches and limbs frequently. We then mow down the weeds in the pastures and burn the debris. While I worked, I noticed that we had a lot of different fungi--some pretty, some not-so-pretty, some that don't smell, and some that smell worse than a locker room after a big game. Although, I took a lot of pictures, these are only a few of the literally dozens of toadstools, mushrooms, and fungi lurking in the vegetation of our yard.
Note the strings (appendages, or whatever you want to call them) that hang off the vines!

If you get this the second picture of your unknown plant life is Poke. the leaves and stalk are edible. You wilt the greens like spinach or turnips greens and the stalk you cut up like okra and fry. The berries are poisonous. They make great dye though.
